Partnership with Ripple to record land ownership in Colombia.

The Colombian government has signed a partnership with Ripple Labs on the blockchain land ownership project.



According to cryptocurrency media DiCrypto on the 2nd (local time), the Colombian government signed a partnership with Ripple Labs, a company that developed cryptocurrency XRP, as part of a plan to correct the unequal distribution of land that led to decades of armed disputes.



According to Decrypto, the project, built by blockchain development company Peersyst Technology and Ripple, permanently stores and certifies asset ownership in the public blockchain Ripple Ledger, which improves fairness in real estate transactions.

Meanwhile, the unique token XRP of the blockchain overseas remittance project Ripple is trading at $0.3701 based on the coin market cap as of 7:40 p.m. on August 2nd, Korean time. This is a 2.33% decrease from 24 hours ago. Currently, XRP’s market capitalization is about $17.9 billion, and it is struggling with Binance USD (BUSD) for the sixth place in market capitalization.
